About The Historical Society
The Kansas City Fire Historical Society began in 1990 with the aim of preserving and honoring the history and artifacts of the Kansas City, MO Fire Department. K.C.F.D. had its commencement on March 14th of 1868.
K.C.F.H.S. exists to maintain and bring remembrance to its remarkable legacy. We aim to do this through the forthcoming K.C. Fire Museum, and by developing other resources and media toward that end.

Looking to get involved with The Kansas City Fire Historical Society? We are always looking for more members of our organization and would love to see you at one of our events. As we work to remodel the Fire Museum, we will have work days periodically and can use all the help we can get!
